I have a husband who is hard to shop for. Anything he needs he gets himself and he HATES being given as a gift anything he needs (please don't ask about the year the kids, his dad and I all got him kitchen items for Christmas...it was ugly. He is the cook of the house so it seemed practical at the time). He rarely mentions anything he wants, if he does its of a price range I'm not going to oblige him. SO I have to get creative and plan ahead.

For Christmas I nailed it!! I bragged for months ahead of time that I nailed it. Everyone knew. It was highly anticipated and that morning it was revealed that I did in fact freaking nail it (for non-Utahans freaking is a word that emphasises the word it precedes).

He doesn't really like many things, the things he is interested in he is REALLY interested in. So I started early...July, yes I'm serious. I made a short list of his interests. This took up a sticky note it was so Small. I crossed out anything that would involve a utilitarian interest as to not cause another mini melt down. I ended up with Pink Floyd. He loves Pink Floyd. Now I could have gone with the usual commercially available products...but  no, I decided to get creative.

I found a place that would take a picture you sent them by email in jpeg format and put it on a canvas. YAY. I searched the web for pictures of the members of the bank, candid and unique. The price was very reasonable and they arrived fast. They were beautiful. the company was very easy to work with.

  1. I am happy that you found an awesome present for him. Why are some men so hard to shop for? I feel like I have a list of thousands of things I want!
